After running a pub in Oxford, The Rusty Bicycle, I moved into a role as area Business development manager for Arkell’s Brewery. This lead me into a deeper interest in Brewing and so I took a year off to do a master brewing qualification in Chicago and Munich, gaining an international insight into brewing. After this I spent some time working with Fuller’s brewery then returned to Arkell’s to take over the head brewers position. I am the 6th Generation of our family to work at the brewery, where we have been producing beer on the same site since 1843.
I shall take attendees through the history of Swindon’s oldest business, Then give a short overview of the brewing process and how we brew our beers using our unique Victorian, steam brew house.
